The GHS Theatre program is an extracurricular activity for students interested in all aspects of theatrical performance. Each year, the program presents two full-scale productions: a Fall play and a Spring musical. Students can perform on stage or work behind the scenes to bring these productions to life.

Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on your stage in “Disney 's High School Musical!” Troy, Gabriella, and the students of East High must deal with issues of first love, friends, and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities. It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians ,and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations, and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock Troy discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical, led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well

Student Contract

Student contracts for both cast and crew will be reviewed and signed in person once the cast and the crew have been determined. This contract will inform you about our policies for attendance, expectations, and conduct. You will need a new contract for each production.

Audition Information

Please click on the links to access the audition materials. Choose two monologues and one scene. We encourage you to choose different characters for the monologues than the scenes. Choose two songs for two different characters.

Please record yourself, we need to be able to see and hear you. Upload your videos to your audition folder. The folder is only accessible to the directors and the cast member. The submission deadline is Wednesday, January 22nd. Rehearsals will begin the week of January 26th, we will update you on which day as soon as we are able.
